Silver Medal winner at the San Francisco World Spirits competition 2019 A 12 year old offering of Macnair's blended malt whisky, a combination of peated Islay, Speyside and older Glenallachie malts. This has a really pronounced smokiness with grassy heather, hay and ashu qualities. There's alot of sweetness too, with toffee, butterscotch and vanilla cream coming through. The palate also has a slight raisin qiality and the finish is surprisingly long. Matured using a combination of first fill Bourbon, Red wine and Pedro Ximenez casks.
