The only Non age statement offering in the 2016 Diageo limited releases and only 4932 bottles available. Aged in a combination of refill and rejuvinated American oak Hogsheads and European oak butts. Nose: Mandarin orange, beeswax, herbal honey, buttery biscuit, yeast bread dough, aniseed. Palate: Orange fondant, shortbread, herbal honey, ginger, white chocolate, vanilla bon bons, salted marzipan, peppery oak. Finish: Tingling citrus, waxy orange, herbal honey, mint leaf, aromatic tea and chocolate. I have to admit to having a soft spot for Cragganmore as it was the first Single malt that made me sit up and take notice of whisky over 26 years ago! when tasting this i was almost transported back to that happy memory with that combination of a more waxy and herbal Speyside style and this is a great example of this Classic Malt, whatever the age!
