One of the original set of Family cask releases from the Glenfarclas range of rare and old single cask releases that go all the way back to whisky distilled in 1952 and first released in 2007. Distilled 19/3/1973 Bottled 28/2/2007 Aged for 33 years in a single Sherry Butt cask #2578 Only 457 bottles released at natural cask strength 58. 8% ABV A wonderful lighter whisky. From a sherry cask but without the rich colour you will find with other whiskies from the family casks collection. However, it's still rather dark. This whisky is fresh and lively, and makes for a superb aperitif. A little vanilla first, followed by some smoke, then light citrus notes. A beautiful full whisky that deserves time for you to appreciate it fully.
