Producer The Jackson Family purchased Edmeades in 1988. Since then Edmeades has become famous for our limited bottlings of iconoclastic, often old vine, Zinfandel from the coastal vineyards of Mendocino County. Sitting just across the Sonoma County border, a totally different Mendocino state of mind prevails; we grow and hand pick our grapes on intense, challenging sites: rugged ridge tops and rocky, rolling hills which develop Zins with personality. Reflecting Mendocino’s rustic elegance our Zinfandels are noted for their dark, dense and distinctively earth character.
