1 French Bottling Note. The second release of Angostura's Cask Collection No. 1 is a 16 year old rum from Trinidad which was allowed to age for 10 years in American oak casks before being transferred over to once-used French oak casks that previously held Cognac for the final 6 years.
The colour is beautiful amber with superb clarity and the aroma offers notes of subtle peach and candied apricot, macadamia or almonds, with hints of oak. The finish is dry with a soft fade.
